Graham Lamont – Lamont Pridmore
Graham Lamont is chief executive of Lamont Pridmore and he has overseen the development of the firm from a sole practitioner into a Top 100 national award-winning firm with more than 55 staff and eight offices across Cumbria and Lancashire.He was recognised as the 40th most influential financial person in the UK in 2014 by the Accountancy Age Financial Power List. Lamont Pridmore prides itself on being a family-run firm of accountants and advises a wide range of family businesses. The firm has won a number of national awards including Outstanding Family Run Accountancy Firm in the Global Excellence Awards, the ‘Best Business to Work For’ in the Family Business Place Red Ribbon Awards, Independent Accountancy Firm of the year and Regional Tax Practice of the year.
Grahame Latus – Enterprise Answers
Grahame Latus of Enterprise Answers has worked with a huge range of family businesses over the years. A social enterprise providing loans to SME businesses in Cumbria, Northumbria, County Durham and North Lancashire who have been unable to obtain finance from traditional sources such as high street banks. All profits generated are reinvested into a loan fund to continue to support the local economy.
Dave Clarkson – Business Development Director for Armstrong Watson
Dave is responsible for the development of an accountancy group made up of 16 offices across the North of England and Scotland which delivers both strategic and financial advice. Within his role he works directly with family businesses on how they look act and deliver their messages to attract audiences. He is responsible for the ‘Unlocking the Family Secret’ publication and has lectured on the innovation from within family business with Bradford Business School, Leeds Beckett University and delivered workshops across Cumbria for the Family Business Network.
Andy Beeforth has run the multi national award-winning Cumbria Community Foundation for 17 years. During that time Andy has been involved in a number of national and local awards programmes in the charity and business sector including judging CN Business Awards and CN Countryside Awards.
Paul set up Family Business United in 2012 an online magazine and resource centre for the family business community. He launched the national Family Business of the Year Awards four years ago and has a wealth of experience supporting family businesses across the country.
Jacqui’s experience comes not only from her esteemed work at Lancaster University. As a fifth generation retail family business owner Jacqui understands the unique challenges family businesses face. Jardine Jackson Associates support family businesses specifically, through modelling stages right up to board management.
